First of all, I am very excited that Disney is doing a live action version of Beauty and the Beast. I like the trend they seem to be going down with remaking Disney animated classics into live-action movies. Classic examples would be the live action Alice in Wonderland, Maleficent, Cinderella and The Jungle Book. I feel as though this live action trend is happening because the children who watched the Disney animated movies back when they first came out are all grown up now and would appreciate a live action version of the classics we grew up with.

One of the more highly anticipated live action movies is Beauty and the Beast, with it being one of the most celebrated Disney classics. The problem I was having was that, so far, the only teaser we got of this movie was the following trailer.

While I do love this trailer and appreciate the magical quality of it and the fact that they used music similar to the original soundtrack, it doesn't really give you many of the characters that we know and love. Except for a close up of Belle at the end of the trailer we do not see anyone else. But do not worry, they seem to have tried to remedy that situation by releasing pictures of some of the cast.

Here's the Beauty (Belle) and the Beast dancing in the ballroom. Belle, played by Emma Watson, is wearing her famous yellow gown and I must say, it does look very magical without being too much. People were upset with how the Beast, played by Dan Stevens, looks in this live action, but I quite like it. It fits the look of the rest of the film and he doesn't look all that ugly to me.

Then there's Luke Evans looking amazing as Gaston. This picture makes me look forward to hearing the famous "Gaston" song being sung in all of its glory.

Here, we get a sneak peek at the Beast's household staff in their magical forms. We have Cogsworth, Mrs. Potts, Lumiere, and Plumette, I think the way they look is especially artistic and fits the look of the film.

We get to see Belle's father Maurice and a look at Belle's classic blue dress.

As well as Gaston's sidekick Lefou.

All in all, I got something from the trailer, but the thing it was missing, an introduction to the characters so that I can visualize them, was given through these teaser photos. So now I am satisfied and all that's left for me to do is wait til March 17, 2017, to go see one of the best animated Disney movies ever be remade as a live action movie( and hopefully another classic)

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
