Do You Remember Any of These?

My Favorite Childhood Shows that No One Else Seems To Remember

We all have shows that give us an overwhelming amount of nostalgia. But when I talk about my favorite childhood shows, no one seems to remember them. A few of my favorite shows have low ratings or a small audience, but most were extremely popular in their prime. Although, I am young and my childhood wasn't that long ago, I still have a right to be nostalgic. Here are 15 of my favorite childhood shows that seem to have been forgotten. Either these shows have low ratings, are barely talked about or just unknown. During the duration of writing this, I kept finding more and more shows, but I had to retain myself from putting like 100. Do you remember any of these? Are there any shows that you enjoyed that no one else knows?

15. American Dragon: Jake Long

Jake was shape-shifting into a dragon on Disney Channel from 2005-2007. The whole point of the show is to witness his journey to becoming the first American Dragon.

14. Legends of the Hidden Temple

From 1993 to 1995, a huge face made of stone talked to children. Children were contestants and competed to retrieve historical artifacts based on one of the legends told. This show was one of the reasons why I became interested in history and Mayans. Even though the year I was born they were only showing reruns, I always hoped to be on this show. Our nostalgia can now be settled because there is now a movie being released November 2016!!!! And I have a Blue Barracudas shirt!!!

13. Jay Jay the Jet Plane

This show was pretty much "Thomas the Train Engine," but with aircraft. Running from 1998 to 2005, Jay Jay and his friends flew across six different television networks. But, now that I am looking at this show again, it was pretty creepy. The faces are pretty realistic.

12. Unfabulous

Addie Singer was playing her guitar and trying hard to fit in from 2004-2007. This show was pretty popular and is remembered quite a bit. But, I think people neglect to appreciate how great this show actually was. I personally believe it was in the same level as Zoey 101.

11. ChalkZone

"ChalkZone," was also very popular during its air time in the early 2000's. It has a low rating on IMDB despite having a strong viewing. This is on many nostalgic posts but, people still fail to remember the show when having a conversation.

10. Mr. Meaty

This wacky show lasted from 2005-2009. I constantly quote this show because it was absolutely hilarious! It is one of the only shows on Nickelodeon to actually use puppets. It was so ridiculous, but executed the so well.

9. Tak and the Power of Juju

"Tak and the Power of Juju" was released as a video game in 2003, but it did so well it released as a TV show in 2007.

8. Dave the Barbarian

Dave was a barbarian (obviously); he appeared to be very masculine, but was actually quite cowardly. This show lasted only one year (2004-2005) and aired reruns until 2009.

7. Xiaolin Showdown

This martial arts show aired on Kids' WB from 2003-2006. There is was even a spin-off called Xiaolin Chronicals that only lasted for one season.

6. Planet Sheen

This "Jimmy Neutron" spin-off lasted from 2010-2013. Even though it is rated 3.4/10 on imdb, I completely loved this show. Sheen takes Jimmy's rocket and lands on the planet, Zeenu. The show is based around Sheen's efforts to return, which is light years away.

5. Stanley

Stanley and his pets journeyed in their "Great Big Book of Everything" from 2001-2004. Although, the show only lasted 3 years, episodes were constantly being aired on Playhouse Disney. I even named my goldfish after the protagonist's: Stanley and Dennis.

4. Kids Nation

Think of this show as "Survivor" for kids. The contestants on the show were ranged from eight to fifteen. I always wanted to be on "Survivor," but I was too young. So, when this aired, it gave me hope. But now I look at it like "Lord of the Flies," which is probably why it only lasted one season.

3. Mighty B

I connected to this show because I wanted to be a Girl Scout and I am a little quirky. With a rating of only 5.5/10 on IMDB it aired from 2008-2011.

2. The Koala Brothers

Who doesn't love koalas? And koalas who are aviators?! Nothing can get any better! This show lasted on Playhouse Disney from 2003-2007. It had a "Bob the Builder" and "JoJo's Circus" feel to it. Which, were also two of my all time favorite shows.

1. Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi

This American-Japanese show was based on the J-pop duo Puffy AmiYumi. The shows revolves around two best friends who travel the world on tour. It seems like no one really talks about this show anywhere but it was great. I even had tiny dolls of them and would play with them quite often!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
