I have grown up in, traveled to, and am obsessed with big cities. The crowded streets, the days of shopping, the nights on the town and the sunsets receding behind the populated skylines all appeal to me, giving me a zest for life that I cannot adequately describe. I love learning about culture and art, fashion and music.
Our generation has sparked a love of social media. First it was sites like MySpace, Bebo, and YouTube. Now have emerged popular apps such as Instagram which seem to take over the distribution of new ideas and trends of all kinds. It is interesting to see what different people search for in culture. For me, fashion has become my statement, my favourite platform for self expression. The explore page on Instagram has facilitated a dynamic set of outfits and style which work for both night and day.
So here are my top 8 fashion-related Instagrammers, the accounts which have allowed me to blossom and seek out individual looks.
1. @theloversanddriftersclub
My number one go-to account for all things alternative. This account displays outfits which work for class, for clubs, lounging, and dates. This way you can look vintage-chic wherever you are.
2. @confetticrowd
The ultimate style guide for the festival-goer. The Confetti Crowd is a group of girls who travel around, wearing wacky collections of homemade styles in crazy colours and patterns. Perfect for parties and concerts too.
3. @gigihadid
And so was born our real-life Barbie doll. In my opinion, Gigi Hadid is one of the biggest style icons of our generation. She can pull of just about anything, from sport-chic to a reflective pink flared co-ord.
4. @__katemoss
Kate Moss only recently started her own official Instagram account. However, it is more of a business venture than to display her own personal style. Instead I found this account which takes us back to some of her very first looks, and shows us why she continues to shine as a world-famous supermodel.
5. @mahalia_music
Originally, I found Mahalia on YouTube, singing on "A Colors Show" music channel in her red-orange puffer jacket and bandana. She is edgy and unattainable, but also has the charm of someone you may have known for years. Her Instagram posts themselves speak for her eclectic style.

Who What Wear presents to us a collection of trends and gives us tips about everything from beauty, to runway fashion, to high-street shopping. What I love about this account is the range of looks I have been able to collect from it. It gives me ideas for evening wear and what to wear to class to feel good about my 8a.m.
7. @camillecharriere
This girl does the boyfriend look better than any account I've found on Instagram, while keeping her femininity showing under the oversized jeans and tshirts. She's hip and cool in a way that makes us think that she isn't trying at all.
8. @milliemackintosh
Millie was a star of Made in Chelsea's earlier seasons. She is the ultimate girl's girl - sugar, spice, and everything nice - while also being incredibly strong due to her crazy workout routines. Go and check her out for the perfect day-time date or brunch outfits.
