As that calendar flips from August 31 to September 1 we know fall is upon us! With fall comes holidays, school, football season, pumpkins, and of course fall fashion!!! If you live in California this means the thermostat barely drops below 70 degrees… But if paired correctly it is still sweater weather…

Fall is such an iconic season with boots, scarves, sweaters, hats, socks and much more! Boots in fall are a must. Whether you like chunky, black ankle booties, suede, knee high boots, or some nice brown riding boots, they can be an asset to every trendy fall look. Ahhh scarves are so important. Whether you are wearing it to warm your neck from the frost-bitten air, or you just want to accessorize your new favorite sweater, scarves have your back… or rather neck. Sweaters, sweaters, and even more sweaters. Everywhere you look in this season you see sweaters of all sorts. Will it be a nice cropped sweater, a warm wool sweater, or an oversized vintage sweater, to keep you nice and toasty? Even if it is simply a fall colored dad hat, hats perfect fall outfits. Specifically adorable knitted beanies that keep you ears cozy, are popular. Finally socks… in fall you can spot an abundance of cute knee high socks, some plain and black, with buttons, knitted, or even frilly. All of these clothing types can be incorporated into your fall wardrobe.

On top of clothes colors in fall are just as important. Colors like burgundy, burnt orange, beige, army green, rusty red, and violet are perfection for your fall garb.

To finish off your Autumn look you should definitely pair it up with an intense makeup look. On the lips I’d suggest a dark hue to match your warm attire. Smoky eyeshadow looks are especially prominent around fall time to help enhance your eyes! Blush is an asset in fall to add a little color to your skin, as your summer tan fades away. To summarize fall makeup looks, the bolder the better!

As the leaves turn colors, turn heads with your dazzling fall looks!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
