" Harry Potter" fans unite and raise your wands you put away in 2011. Our time has come again.
If you haven't heard the joyous news, there is going to be a prequel/spin-off to "Harry Potter" relating to a particular book Harry Potter picked up and read in the first book of the series, "The Sorcerer's Stone." J.K. Rowling actually made this fictional book into a real book and published it in 2001 as Harry's copy, having comments and side notes made by the whole gang, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger included. Of course, she could only make it as realistic as possible, so you don't have the almost impossible -- to close the covers and have the beasts snap out at you whenever they want out.
It was actually announced in 2013 that this movie was going to be made, but the hype died down until now when more trailers started being released.
But it doesn't end there, folks. It has been confirmed that this will be the first of three movies. This was almost enough to cheer me up after I deduced that it is not in my financial budget to hop on a plane to Europe and see "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child." The first part of it is released on Nov. 18, 2016. The second part will be released in 2018, and the third in 2020. How crazy it is to think that the childhood memories we all carried from grade school will still be playing out well after we graduate from college.
Keeping true to the originals, "Hedwig's Theme" is played at the beginning in a hauntingly good way that gives fans everywhere chills and goosebumps. Warner Bros. still has the distorted logo we have all come to associate with "Harry Potter," and the magic is still there.
It appears that Albus Dumbledore will be back kicking in this movie. How we have missed him since the "Half-Blood Prince"! Oh, and Ezra Miller is part of the cast. Enough said.
