Where would I be today without the people who constantly make my life easier? It is so easy to give up on our dreams when we do not have support, but thankfully we have numerous family members to cheer us on and practically annoy us until our goals are reached. When I breakdown how my family works I realize that most families are the same, even though we don't see all of them daily they're always a phone call away ready to help.
I guess we can admit that our parents could actually be considered cool, in there own goofy way. They work hard to provide for their family and teach us lessons daily. If you have a sister, like me, you know she is the person you can trust to keep you dressed in style and she's the best back scratcher you know. Unfortunately, I don't have a brother, but I know that my friends that have brothers always tell the best stories because their "weird" brother does the most entertaining things.
Let's face it, grandparents are always so proud of us and they just so happen to be our biggest fans on Facebook. Aunts are always waiting by the phone for you to call with what seems to be a gigantic problem and they always seem to help you solve them. Plus they always make time to eat plenty of ice cream with you. Uncles tend to always want to know who they can beat up to make sure that we know that we have our own personal army ready for battle. Every time you see your cousins it is so easy to pick up right where you left off and the same jokes never get old. Don't forget about your family pets, I mean come on, we all know that our dogs and cats can be the best listeners ever. Your friends are considered family because they know just about all of your funny family Christmas stories and they usually fit right in with your crazy bunch. If you have a boyfriend, like me, you know that your dad doesn't exactly consider him family but he is. He has to be around them enough and knows too much to not be considered family.
As Brad Pitt once said, "A family is a risky venture, because the greater the love, the greater the loss. That's the trade off. But I'll take it all." Sure, family can be crazy and overbearing, and sometimes you wonder why you love them so much. But you know that you love them because God put them in your heart and created them to have a little bit of you in them- and you are the coolest person you know, right?
