I’m sure there’s been a time when you’ve wanted to be in the spotlight. Everybody knows your name, you get to go to fancy events, you're paid millions of dollars, and you’re living the dream, right? All this sounds wonderful and all, but it feels like there should be some kind of catch to be able to live this kind of lifestyle.
The minute you put yourself in the spotlight is the minute you throw your privacy out the window.
I’m sure there are people out there who don’t really mind what people know about them nor do they care what others think. I can say that I agree with the latter, however, I do enjoy being able to have control over what people know about me and what they don’t.
If I put myself in the spotlight, that’s all gone. Everything’s on the table. Of course, the levels of privacy vary depending on who you are. For example, a politician has absolutely zero privacy because of the nature of their job while a famous actress will have limited privacy compared to myself.
As you make your rise to fame, you slowly lose parts of your private life, while the public gains insight into it with each step you take higher.
Is all of this really worth the fame? I mean yeah it would be nice to not have to worry about money, but I’d rather continue working than have to look over my shoulder and see someone with a camera everywhere I go, watching every move that I make. That definitely has to take some kind of toll on people.
I'll just be here, continuing to live my average lifestyle in peace with full control over my own privacy.
