As the leaves begin to change into the colors of deep orange and bright red, pumpkin spice flavors come back, and we throw on our sweaters to head to class, fall is beginning once again. There is nothing better than the crisp fall air, the light breeze and the crunching of the leaves under our feet as we walk outside.
With all we have to look forward to with the Fall season, here are the top 10.
1. Fall fashion.
Whether it be Steve Madden combat boots, boot socks, or oversized sweaters, it's impossible to run out of outfits for the season. Flannels, head wraps and dark colors are in as of October.
2. Change it up.
That dark new hair color you wanted? Yeah, its time. Transitioning to that deep brown style that you saw on Pinterest is more than welcome now that fall has arrived. If you're blonde and want to add something deeper to your color, try an ombre or some caramel highlights.
3. Pumpkin Picking.
There is nothing cuter than going pumpkin picking with your friends, family, or significant other. It makes for an adorable date and an even cuter Instagram picture once carved. Jack-O-Lanterns are your new calling.
4. Apple Picking.
Probably the best and most original way to make homemade apple pie, apple picking is the best fall activity. Be prepared to get a little muddy and unleash your inner 6-year-old when that big tractor rolls around for free rides.
5. Walks through the woods.
Hikes are the best way to enjoy the fall scenery as Upstate New York and New Jersey make way to its beautiful new landscape.
6. Halloween.
Whether you still trick-or-treat, or dress up like a Disney Princess at age 21, Halloween never gets old no matter how old you turn. Decorating outdoors, as well as indoors, is a nice way to enjoy the upcoming holiday.
7. Outdoor Fires.
Sitting around with the people closest to you and burning s'mores over an open fire while you huddle to keep warm is an enjoyable way to end the chilly night.
8. Thanksgiving.
A giant stuffed turkey, family and a dozen of assorted pies, Thanksgiving is the medium between Halloween and Christmas. Gathering around in front of a massive table filled with food is a good time if you ask me.
9. Fall means you're halfway done with your college semester.
The halfway point between October and December, you're almost finished with your fall semester. Woot woot.
10. Football.
The NFL is the best part about fall. All the major league games, tailgating, and fashionable NFL attire, makes way for the best day of the week, football Sundays. Break out that blue, New York Giants are back.
