Ah, fall. It's everyone's favorite time of year. Between the increase in PSL's and selfies with the leaves, I figured I would break up the repetition and talk about something else: Cuffing season.
Love is in the air in fall. Everyone is looking for someone to go to the pumpkin patch with, someone to hold their hand during scary haunted house adventures, and maybe just a bit of simple romance. While I look for nice background music to eat my chips and queso to.
Well, this hopeless romantic can at least bring you my top 10 love songs for the fall of 2017. So if you're secretly in love with me and wanna win me over, here's some songs that could help. (I also hope any of my readers know that this statement is definitely a joke. Or is it? You may never know.)
10. Dive by Ed Sheeran
This singer is back at it with his latest album of pure genius. This song is so sweet yet it reminds someone not to go all in unless they really want to be with you. "Don't tell me you need me, if you don't believe it." So, SO important in this day and age.
9. Say You Won't Let Go (Boyce Avenue cover)
Okay, so this song is just too sweet to pass up. Between the acoustic changeup and the slight lyric changes, this cover is so simple and kind. It talks about being ready for love instead of drinking the night away and throwing up. A classy and simple change.
8. Mirrors by Justin Timberlake
This song is a whole eight minutes of genius, no questions asked. Just talking about how badly he doesn't want to lose someone is something that would make any girl swoon.
7. Sweet Pea by Amos Lee
So this song is just ADORABLE. It also just talks about being the reason someone keeps coming home and it would make any heart flutter.
6. My Girl by The Temptations
So if you don't find yourself singing this at the top of your lungs then what in the world are you doing? This is a CLASSIC. Just calling someone "My girl" is absolutely adorable.
5. Lights Down Low by MAX
So this is someone's wedding song. You heard me correctly. He wrote this song specifically for him and his wife. He used it to propose to her and for their wedding day video. Now that is some dedication. This song swept the world by storm and now everyone knows it or at least one of the remixes.
4. Crazy by Hunter Hayes
Yes, country music is going towards the top of this list.(HOW DARE I.) But guys, give this a listen. It just is so sweet in how it talks about the ups and downs of love and how he'll do anything to see her smile. "But I don't want "good" and I don't want "good enough", I want "can't sleep, can't breathe without your love", Front porch and one more kiss, it doesn't make sense to anybody else ." Call me old-fashioned, but I find this kind of stuff to be absolutely adorable.
3. Crazy Little Thing Called Love by Michael Buble
Michael Buble just puts the best spin on any song he covers. The jazzy feel still has you dancing in your car and you just can't stop smiling. If you need song lyrics for this, I might judge you a little bit. This song is timeless.
2. Give Me Love by Ed Sheeran
Well, this song is about eight minutes long as well. It will take you on an emotional journey that you never knew existed.
And in the number one spot for top love song of Fall of 2017 is...
1. That Kind of Love by MAX
So this song is super sweet. The one line that will always get me is,"I don't need a chateau in the south of France, just a hole in the wall, enough space to dance."People often ask for so much out of someone. If I'm given the smallest, sweetest gesture then I am the happiest person alive. I think that is why I relate to those lines so much. Wowza, I am a hopeless romantic. 10/10, would listen to on repeat.
There you have it! My top ten love songs. Maybe these can help you all out with a cute date night idea, something to listen to on a drive with your significant other, or even by yourself. Let yourself get lost in the lyrics or lost in the moment with that special someone.
