Over the years, the Beta Zeta chapter of Alpha Gamma Rho hasĀ been involved in many events in order to raise money and awareness for charitable organizations, scholarships, memorials, and community outreach. This year, we are creating a new fall event held at our chapter house called Fall Fest. Fall Fest is designed to support multiple causes chosen by our chapter each year and has the added ability to benefit attendeeās charitable choices as well.Ā We have decided as a chapter to devote this yearās profits to support the CAFLS College and a student in the Agriculture, Forestry & Life Sciences.
Last year we conducted an event that involved carving the best pumpkin for Halloween. This year we will be doing the same; however, it will be a live event where contestants only have a limited amount of time to carve their masterpiece on site.ĀThere will be two divisions; the first will be a Clemson organization division. Sororities, Fraternities, and Clubs are encouraged to compete side by side for carving glory. The winner of the competition will receive double their entry fee back for the purpose of supporting your own organizational philanthropy or cause. The second division will be a self-made team. Individual team prizes may include gift cards or event t-shirts. Grab a friend and come on out.Ā
Not a carver?
There will be a second event that
will consist of a sack race where members of an organization or team may
compete to win a prize. The third event consists of a tug of war. Separate
brackets will be constructed for ladies and for gentlemen in both of these
events.
Ā Ā
Like to
bake?
We will also be having a pumpkin pie-baking contest. Get out your oven
mitt and bring us your best pie. Fall
Fest will take place the evening before Halloween on THURSDAY, October 30th,
2014 between 5:30Ā p.m. and 8Ā p.m.
