Why Fall Is My Fav

Fall is finally here and for many of us it is a happy time of celebration and companionship. Fall is a time for love and gatherings and just a cheery time of year.

Here are a few reasons why Fall is my fav time of year:

Football, Football, Football

Whether its high school or college, fall means football. Nothing gets better than chilly nights on the bleachers cheering on your favorite teams to victory!

Bonfires and S’mores

Bonfires, tailgates, late nights, s’mores, and friends to spend this time with. Much fellowship and memories are made during these fun times and this time of year is always full of excitement and cheerfulness.

Sweatshirts and Pullovers

I don’t know about you but I am a huge fan of my comfort colors sweatshirts and pullovers repping my school and sorority and when I hear the word Fall all I can think about is getting to wear those to class on a chill morning and chilly nights when I’m out with friends!

Boots, Boots, Boots

If all girls were like me and shared my obsessive love of boots or all kinds, the world would be a happier place. Nothing makes me happier than strutting my stuff in my fav pair of boots on campus. I love shopping for new boots each fall (even if I know for a fact that I don’t need another pair). Boots are may favorite and I think we should change that they are only socially acceptable in the fall! And guys too, it is finally comfortable to wear your big bulky boots without sweating to death. Boots are a must have for the fall and winter months!

Halloween

Getting to dress up and be someone, anyone you want to be for a night is always a fun and exciting event! And I have learned in college that this can be one of the biggest events of the whole school year. But the biggest lesson I have learned on Halloween in college is just five simple words: GO BIG OR GO HOME. You’re outfit has to slay if people are going to notice you. Sure it might break the bank but it is totally worth it.

Thanksgiving

One of my favorite holidays is Thanksgiving. Not just because of the food, although that is a huge plus, but I love getting to spend time with my friends and family and have a break from school and actually being an adult.

Crisp Air and Beautiful Scenery

I love the feeling of a cool morning. It really makes that cup of hot coffee hit the spot when you are walking to class. And I love to see all the leaves changing colors. I find all the maroons, olive greens, burnt oranges and golden yellows especially aesthetically pleasing. Not to mention how beautiful the stars look on a clear fall night.

Fall is full of great times, beautiful weather and fun memories, make the most of the season and enjoy Fall 2016!

If you have been following me for a long time, then you know I write about two main things: relateable articles and communication media based articles. Now, it is time for me to combine the two. For those of you that don't know, I am a radio DJ at IUP, and I DJ for a show called BPM (Beats Per Minute). It is an EDM, or electronic dance music, based show and I absolutely love it.

Owning a pet can get difficult and expensive. Sometimes, their vet bills cost hundreds of dollars just for one visit. On top of that, pets also need food, a wee wee pad for a dog, a litter box with litter for a cat, toys, and treats. Besides having to spend hundreds of dollars on them, they provide a great companion and are almost always there when you need to talk to someone. For the past six years, I have been the proud owner of my purebred Bengal cat named Spock. Although he's only seven years and four months old, he's taught me so much. Here's a few of the things that he has taught me.

It's fun to see all of the selfies on social media, they are everywhere. I see pictures with pouty lips, duck lips and pucker lips. I see smokey eyes, huge fake lashes and nicely done nose jobs, boob jobs and butt lifts. Women working out in spandex, tiny tops and flip flops. I see tight abs and firm butts, manicured nails and toes, up dos and flowing hair. "Wow", I think to myself," I could apply tons of make-up, spend an hour on my hair, pose all day and not look like that. Maybe I need a longer stick!"
