It's easy to see all the bad in the world and get disheartened, but as the holidays approach, it's important to remember that there is some good in the world.

1. Opposing Teammates Do Something Unthinkable...

Sara Tucholsky was up to bat. As she hit the ball, it popped over the fence and she scored her very first home-run. With searing pain, she runs until she hit 1st base and she can hardly walk. For her to complete her home-run, none of her teammates or coach can touch her to finish her run. From the opponents' team, 2 players, Mallory Holtman and Liz Wallace do the unthinkable...

2. The Patriotic Hero

A solider in Afghanistan carried out one of his comrades, continued his brotherhood duty, and went back into combat without a helmet to go save more soldiers. What an amazing act of courage.

A man working at “Freddie’s” burger and ice cream joint served a young boy. He didn’t have enough money for a simple ice cream. The cashier paid for his ice cream and what happened next was something he wasn't even expecting...

4. The Unknown Motorcyclist

5. The World-Class Marathoner

This world class runner was winning this marathon. Instead of winning, she stopped to help this man to get a drink of water. The prize that she received was gratitude instead of winning her $10,000 prize.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
