He's a Canadian with a penchant for violence. He's a great shot and he literally cannot die. He's called the Merc With the Mouth, and for good reason. Deadpool, the eponymous star of Deadpool (2016) is one of the most interesting characters in the comic book universe. This fourth-wall breaking anti-hero is finally getting a good movie made about him, and I'm about to tell you why you should be absolutely stoked.
1. Just watch the trailer. Trust me.

See? Not only are the action scenes going to be high-budgeted visual masterpieces, but there will also be comedic gold strewn throughout the film. The two biggest facets of Deadpool's coolness are his hilarious dialogue with not only other characters, but the two other consciousnesses in his head, and his incredible combat prowess, both of which will be (hopefully) faithfully recreated.
2. Ryan Reynolds.
While Ryan Reynolds played a very... oh, how can I put this nicely... fundamentally incorrect and frankly insulting version of Deadpool in X-Men Origins: Wolverine (which is honestly due to the poor writing, but it's still undeniable), and also did a bit of a shoddy job portraying Green Lantern, this version of Deadpool is perfectly suited for him. He's a big fan of the comics and isn't shy about letting people know it, so a true homage to the fantastic character that exists in the comics can be expected.
3. A New Form of The Superhero Movie.
For the most part, superheroes and comic book characters go through a bit of a filter when they are imported onto the big screen, but Deadpool will most certainly not be. His hyper-violent, potty-mouthed antics will be in full display, and that's exactly what has the potential to make this film one of the most enjoyable, and possibly groundbreaking, superhero movies of our time.
