If you've been a Shameless fan since Day 1, then you already know that last week, Showtime aired the series' seventh season premier. And no doubt, you were there promptly at 9:00 EST with a bowl of popcorn and an indestructible hope that you'd catch even the smallest glimpse of Noel Fisher as Mickey Milkovich. Well, I bet you were as heartbroken as I was when the premier ended without even the vaguest mention of our favorite Milkovich.
There's no telling whether or not Noel Fisher will show his beautiful face again on Shameless, but we can all hope. So, in honor of the South Side Trash we've come to know and love, here's a list of Mickey's 11 best Shameless moments, in no particular order.
1. That one Gallavich kiss
You know the one I'm talking about. The one where Mickey suddenly realizes he doesn't have to hide who he is...because he's standing in the middle of a gay bar? Yeah, that one.
2. Constantly pretending like he doesn't care... when he does
What would Mickey be without his incredible incapacity to express emotion? We all know he cares so much, but would he ever say that? Absolutely not.
3. Oh, just kidding. There's that emotion we were looking for.
And all it takes is for Ian to enlist in the Army!
4. When Mickey freaks out about Frank
This situation escalates so quickly. Also, just look at that beard.
5. Anytime Mickey ever makes this face:
6. Domestic Mickey
Mickey Malkovich: a man who strikes fear in the hearts of every South Sider, and also makes a mean Pizza Roll
7. I love you's
We only get to hear him say it twice, but that's the thing about Mickey. He doesn't need to say it; he shows it.
8. The last time any Gallavich fan was happy
Really guys? Couldn't we have just left it here? Gallavich going out on a date? My heart can only take so much.
9. Robbery gone wrong
Only Mickey could take getting shot and then having your boyfriend's lover stitch you up with such grace.
10. The best Mickey/Gallavich scene
Pretending to be asleep so you can tackle your boyfriend and instigate a wrestling match. Also, if you haven't seen it, the deleted scene before this one is fantastic. 10/10 would recommend
11. Once again, in denial about his feelings
Mickey's way of trying to get over Ian? Getting drunk and complaining that his red hair and freckles makes him look like an alien. Top notch insulting skills.
Of course, everything Mickey does is perfect, so this is a dramatically reduced list. And you'll notice that Mickey's prison scene from 6x10 isn't on this list, simply because no one needs to experience that heartbreak again. Shameless fans, don't lose hope. I genuinely don't believe we've seen the last of Mickey Milkovich, but only time will tell. Don't forget to tune in to Showtime on Sunday at 9:00 for Episode 2 of Shameless Season 7!
