So if you've lived under a rock for the past 12 years you may not have seen the best movie ever made, Uptown Girls. It stars the late and great Brittany Murphy and a young Dakota Fanning, as a nanny-child duo that teach each other lessons on growing up and growing old. Here a couple of definitive reasons why we all should be referencing this movie everyday for the rest of time.


1. The opening song is "Charmed Life" by Leigh Nash

2. "SWINGING DOOR!"


3. When Molly summed up what it's like to be a free spirit and broke.


4. When Molly was the DIY queen


5. When Ray was tinier than the average 8-year-old


6. The pig named Mu.

"'Mu' means 'pork' in Thai. He was going to be my curry dinner one night in Bangkok, but we fell in love."

7. Molly had the same fear that we all have at one point
