For all the record loving, coffee crazy, skinny jean wearing, potentially pot smoking young adults in this world, I give to you the movies that make the rest of the world think they understand you just a little bit better. Even though they still have the common misconception that everyone who doesn't listen to the mainstream music, have six pairs of monogrammed underwear, or own sixty-eight pairs of chacos is automatically a new age gypsy that doesn't shave their armpits. I give to you the Indie Movie. Indie movies are like the poster child for everything that the world thinks about you beautiful and well-washed hipsters. So let's talk about what literally every single one consists of.
1. Drugs
Without fail they will include either booze, pot, or da crack pipe.
2. The Best Friend
They are either the crazy drinking buddy, the gay friend that you can change in front of, or the one that tries to help you when you are about to make the inevitable bad decision.
3. The Best Settings
They either live in a flat in Brooklyn, the quaintest neighborhood in all of the world, or in a suburban pottery barn home that has .00005 of an acre of a back yard.
4. A Guy/Girl
He likely wears Doc Marton's and a flannel that accents his scruffy unwashed hair. He also has an awesome body for the sex scene that plays Band Of Horses in the background. / She likely wears earth tone t-shirts with some skinny jeans and fabric flats. She also has a super sexy speaking voice that she uses both when fighting over the conflict of the theme or for the sex scene that plays Band of Horses in the background.
5. Over-Arching Themes
OH GOD! Get ready to question everything about who you are. We aren't watching Iron Man 3 here, everyone. We are watching a movie about a couple that comes out to be all about abusive relationships, saying goodbye, and rape awareness. And we didn't even know it!
6. The Best Music

7. They're Just Good
No matter if they strongly fit into the eclectic aura I mentioned before or take a more creative approach at it, they are totally awesome.
