22 Things That Are Every College Student's New Year's Resolutions

With the new year upon us, college students are their own kind of cult when it comes to resolutions. It's a time to reflect on our favorite memories, biggest lessons and dumbest decisions at school thus far. Face it, we've all been there: didn't do so hot in a class, ordered late night food one too many times, bought yet another top from Tobi "because it's on sale," or spent more time thinking about going to the gym than actually stepping foot on a machine. Well, we've got four more months to TRY to do better.

Here's a collection of every college student's new year's resolutions for the upcoming semester:

1. Try to be less of an Uber addict.

Admit it, it's like the only language we speak anymore. But there becomes a point when you've Ubered just down the block and realize: I need to get a grip on my life.

2. Find a good formal date this semester.

Either you didn't find one last semester or he ended up being really lame. It's time to raise your expectations this time around.

3. Find cute AND affordable clothes.

Track down those sales and don't settle until you've left the store feeling like you made money!

4. Actually go to the gym.

Those Christmas cakes and cookies aren't going to burn off themselves!

5. Cut down on the late night food.

Yup, we've all been there. Discipline yourself now and you'll thank yourself later!

6. Actually make it to football games.

Come fall 2017, go be in the stands when your school wins a game, don't hear about it on your iPhone.

7. Appreciate your college friends.

They're your family during the year and are the reason why college is your home away from home. Don't take them for granted.

8. Make your weekends as fun as your Instagrams look.

We all want 400+ likes on an insta but sometimes we're so consumed by getting the "perfect pic" that we forget to enjoy our weekend. You don't have to pick one!

9. Eat some salad.

While salads can be very tasty, they're not always the most appealing choice. We could all add more greens into our diets.

10. Treat yourself once in a while.

College can be rough af. We all deserve a wine and ice cream night once in a while.

11. Don't skip class.

While our beds are way too tempting, don't be that person who misses key material for an upcoming exam. We've all regretted it before.

12. Don't dwell on dumb mistakes.

It's college. We all do dumb things. Don't beat yourself up! You'll be over it by the morning.

13. Don't spend every dollar you have.

Try to spend less on food or items you don't need because we all know how quickly our college spending money runs out.

14. Get enough sleep to function.

We all make the mistake of pulling all-nighter's or not going to bed till 2 a.m. Give your bedy a rest.

15. Nap when you need to.

A nap can single-handedly save your afternoon. Embrace your inner napper.

16. Stop drunk texting boys.

It's all fun and games until you wake up in the morning to find 17 texts, 4 phone calls and 3 voicemails you don't remember sending.

17. Find a summer job or internship.

Be a go-getter and get started on your summer plans now.

18. Find what you are passionate about and go after it.

Whether it's your major or a hobby of yours, find a way to do what you enjoy.

19. Make Dean's List.

Strive to reach that 3.5 GPA. With a lot of hard and motivation, you can get there.

20. Make your parents proud.

You know, those people who fund your education, shopping expenses and food ventures. Stay out of trouble and make them proud of what you've accomplished.

21. Stress less.

Seriously, you're gonna be fine. No college dilemma will make or break your life. Don't stress the little things in life. You have the rest of your life to face real adult problems.

22. Kick some ass this year.

Walk into the new year with the boss ass attitude you've always had in you.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
