I’ve always been a huge skeptic of natural healing until recently. Before I was introduced to the power of essential oils I always thought, “Why would we need to invent medicine if the natural medicine was working?” It didn't make any sense.
After using Doterra's essential oils for only one week, I've become a huge advocate. They're good for everything from making cocktails to promoting good health.
1. Lime. Because what would college be without margaritas? Try this recipe to make your own with the lime essential oil. Also, lime boosts creativity, which might be from the alcohol, but this essential oil is a must.
2. Slim & Sassy blend. If you fear the Freshman 15, this is the potion you’ve been praying for. Slim & Sassy is a combination of grapefruit, lemon, peppermint, ginger, and cinnamon essential oils. It curbs hunger, lifts your mood, and calms your stomach. Adios fat!
3. Breathe blend. The blend contains laurel leaf, peppermint, eucalyptus, melaleuca, lemon, and ravensara to alleviate your nose and promote sleep, so when everyone gets sick in the fall you can breathe easy and get some rest for your first exam.
4. Lavender. Getting a good night's sleep is nearly impossible when work starts piling on. Instead of laying awake staring at your ceiling thinking about all of the work you need to do, use lavender to ease yourself into REM sleep.
5. Peppermint. The chewing gum theory is not a lie. Science says so. That's why everyone should have peppermint essential oil on hand to enhance concentration and alertness.
6. Lemon. Infused vodka anyone? Lemon is great for cocktails, promoting weight loss, digestion, and cough relief.
7. Melaleuca. AKA Tea Tree oil. It doesn't matter what you call it; just know that you'll never wake up with bad skin again. Melaleuca is known for its cleansing properties.
