Planners are vital to college students because we are able to write down what homework, readings and exams are coming up. But did you ever think of having a planner so cool that you would plan your weekly life out ahead of time? Basically, planners are perfect for everyone. Well, at least Erin Condren planners are. They are customizable and you can decorate your weeks with stickers, washi-tape or whatever else you want, and they can last up to 12 or 18 months.
I got my first Erin Condren planner last Christmas, and I am so happy I have it. I am able to put in the times I'm in class, as well as the times I have lessons or meetings, and it's a great way for me to remember when I have an appointment. I have special matte stickers so I can write the times I need to be somewhere on them. I take my planner everywhere with me, because who knows when you'll need to plan something with friends, or schedule an appointment with your doctor or dentist?
What is even more awesome is that you can customize your planner covers. The one pictured above is the one I got for Christmas, which is a collage of my dog, but you could do virtually anything for your planner covers. My newest one is a collage of photos of me at the camp I worked at mixed with photos of my time on the riding team. You could have a cover that is a bunch of movie titles, names types of pastries or words you use on the daily. Your cover could be anything you want it to be, which motivates you to use it more often.
This is what a typical week looks like for me (above). In a planner, you can log what you're going to cook, when classes are, lesson times, days to do laundry and other important factors of your life. The best thing about Erin Condren planners is the amount of Etsy shops that specialize in making custom washi-tape and stickers. All you have to do is email the individual shops and ask for a specific type of sticker and they can make it for you. I have stickers that I specifically use for "Game of Thrones" episodes, ones to show when I will be riding (the horse's head), and little crock pots for meals. I even have sticker sheets that go with the themes of the months.
By the time you buy a planner, some sheets of stickers and washi-tape, you will be hooked on planning. Plus, if you love scrapbooking, being creative or decorating things, this planner is a perfect creative project that will simultaneously help you get your life together.
