In all my four years of being an English major, I've learned some things along the way. I've learned that English majors are super close-knit, very bright and we deserve to have more people support us instead of eye rolling when we tell them what we're studying. Here are 7 things you'll understand all too well if you're an English major.
When everyone asks you to proofread your paper, but you have to decline because you've got your own to worry about.
You can't help but correct people on their grammar.
When you have to keep from pulling out your hair after getting yet another question of "What are you going to do with that?"
You still don't understand how people don't enjoy writing and/or reading.
Sometimes we spell things wrong or find a typo. We never said we were perfect.
Getting to call your professors by their first names, sometimes having no homework and being happy in an overall relaxing environment. Ah, bliss.
Sharing your stories only brings you closer together.
