An Endless Stream Of Inspiration
Kelogsloops / Deviant Art

I'm quite sure that the half of the world already knows about DeviantArt.com, a website where art meets application. This new, interesting online platform became the fertile soil on which the seeds of aestheticism grow. Even though this platform is maybe not the best place for writers to introduce their work to the audiences (Duh, we have Odyssey for that), visual pieces of art bloom across it. Therefore, I decided to count down 5 of my favorite DeviantArt profiles/artists which already grabbed the hearts of numerous art omnivores across the Web.

5. Wojtek Fus (http://wojtekfus.deviantart.com)

This amazing Polish artist is recognizable by his extremely detailed digital art pieces. Majority of them suit perfectly as my laptop wallpaper for more than a year now. The futuristic sites on his works could make the most beautiful video game backgrounds, while his obvious admiration of Star Wars franchise floods his archive with the light-sabers.

4. Alice X. Zhang (http://alicexz.deviantart.com)

Alice comes from the US and her art takes a less mainstream path. Blended colors and unclear lines give an unreal effect to her digital pieces. Her page is covered with popular culture characters, from Marvel and Disney princesses to Sherlock and Doctor who. If you're into richness of color and the style diversity, you'll love this profile.

3. Sakimi Chan (http://sakimichan.deviantart.com)

Chan is arguably one of the best manga style artist on the platform. Some of the works on this profile, however, are not purely manga, but are rather mixed with the western styles. I hope you don't mind a bit of nudity, because the majority of this artist's pieces are based around sexy characters (often from the popular anime series and video games). If you do mind it, it's still O.K., because the mature filters are on and you can still enjoy the quality of Chan's work. The profile contains a bunch of artworks, which include gender bending, humanization of animal cartoon characters and even the human versions of web browsers. On top of that the artist is eager to share the techniques used and present the drawing tutorials.

2. Kelogsloops (http://kelogsloops.deviantart.com)

This young artist from Australia brings a unique and beautiful visual art. The artist has less works than the previous one, but the quality of the artworks makes up for it. The paintings on this profile seem to be the combination of watercolor and the digital editing. This combination will leave you staring at Kelogsloops' works, fascinated by their aestheticism.

1. Gabriel Picolo (http://picolo-kun.deviantart.com)

Frankly saying, there is nothing on the Web as charming for me, as the Picolo-kun Deviant Art page. Simple style, yet full of details is what earned this Brazilian the Deviousness award in April, this year. His interest switches between the simple notebook ink doodling and Harry Potter book pages to the compelling story of Icarus and Sun. Disney, Avatar, Digimon, Pokemon, Studio Ghibli, Cartoon Network original series, Pixar, and so on- Picolo has it all covered! He's one of the artist which makes me gladly come back to DeviantArt every time.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
