The End Of The College Semester As Told By 'The Office'

Everyone dreads it just as much as Michael dreads Toby.

Finally, it’s that time of year that everyone is looking forward to, the end of the semester. Whether you’re sad to see it go, happy because it means you get to spend some time at home, or dreading it because that means finals are coming, the end of the fall semester is quickly approaching. People’s true colors tend to come out at the end of a college semester, with all of the stress and excitement that the end entails.

Cancelled quizzes or tests

When your professor cancels the weekly test or quiz. It’s all about the small victories, right? Even though you’re balancing 47 other things, that cancelled quiz or test is one less thing that you have to worry about!

When it's finally Friday

Friday - the best day of the week when you’re in college… or just, all the time. You can forget about the week and all of the stress you endured and have a little fun! Just don’t remember that you have to do it all again on Monday…

Balancing all of your tasks

Sometimes in college you have so much to get done that you can literally feel the weight of the world on your shoulders. It’s tough, but the bright side, is that everyone is in the same boat as you.

Opening your planner

It’ll all get done at some point, whether that’s right now, or in a few days. Plus, there’s always someone that’s more behind than you probably!

Deciding you need to eat a little healthier

Stress eating may get the best of us sometimes. We’ve all had one of those days when you try to eat super healthy. It somehow always happens at the end of the semester. You probably ended up deciding that you can eat healthy over Christmas or summer break.

Taking your finals

Whether you thought it’d be easy or expected it to be hard, you can relate to Jim and the iconic faces he makes throughout the show. Best of luck during finals!

Reminding yourself that you're awesome

As Michael Scott once said, “I am Beyonce, always.” We all need a little reminder like this sometimes. The end of the semester can get the best of everyone, but you will come out shining on top, just like Beyonce… or Michael Scott!

When you're finally done with the semester

Just like Andy, except you probably didn’t do this dance in real life. You probably just did it in your head! But go you! You’ve finished finals and exams, and it’s finally time to spend some time at home with your friends and family.

“I don’t hate it. I just don’t like it at all and it’s terrible.” - Michael Scott. I think Michael can pretty much sum up every college student’s feelings about the end of the semester. Although, we may actually hate it.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
