In the midst of some mad writer’s block, I present to you a pantoum written a short while ago.

Empowering Joy

The joy of the Lord is my strength.

Oh what a beautiful veracity!

That my sin at any length

may be forgiven with similar capacity.

Oh what a beautiful veracity!

That any man, anywhere

may be forgiven with similar capacity

void of every worldly despair.

That any man, anywhere

may wake as the sun rises,

void of every worldly despair,

amidst Satan’s deceptive vices.

One may wake as the sun rises

bathed in radiant rays,

amidst Satan’s deceptive vices,

immersed in God’s gracious gaze.

While bathed in radiant rays

he may walk in mercy and power.

Immersed in God’s gracious gaze

he may overcome the enemy’s scour.

The joy of the Lord is my strength

while bathed in radiant rays.

I’ve often found myself, at length,

immersed in God’s gracious gaze.

Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
