I just got back from a cruise this week. The first thing I saw, before even I got on the boat, was a group of people all wearing shirts that read Keep Calm and Cruise On. At this point, I hadn’t been on a cruise in about eight years. I was a little excited and nervous because I couldn’t remember what it was like. These shirts stood out to me and made me that much more excited to set sail. For those of you who haven’t been on a cruise, this pretty much portrays what it’s like!
When you find out you’re going on a cruise:
Not having WiFi or service on the ship:
It's not as bad as it sounds! It was nice to detach from the outer world.
Being with your family and friends:
Feeling like you’re on the Titanic:
Eating whenever, wherever, and whatever:
Dressing up for dinners:
Or just dressing up the entire time!
Access to all of the ice cream you want:
Being able to “expand your horizons” and try new food:
Having waiters who don’t judge how much you eat:
At least, not to your face
Drinking alcohol whenever:
But being around obnoxious drunks:
Seeing the islands:
Participating in excursions:
Trying to remember everything you’re doing for future reference:
Dying in the heat:
Going to the ship’s casino:
And losing all your money:
People getting sea sick around you:
Having dance parties whenever music comes on:
Which is pretty much all the time.
All the romance:
Leaving the ship:
A cruise is like a bundle of emotions, mostly good ones though! This past week has been some of the best days of my life. I love traveling and doing just that by boat was absolutely gorgeous. I loved every second. If you can ever go on a cruise, I highly recommend! I’m sure the entire cast of The Office would agree with me too!
