The Emotional Stages Of Pokemon GO

If you're playing the game, you've experienced these.

The Emotional Stages Of Pokemon GO
Nintendo

"Pokémon GO" was released on Wednesday, July 6th this year. In half a week it has already taken many countries by storm. People have been playing while driving (PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS!) and even breaking into private property to find exclusive Pokémon. In the limited time it has been out, the game has already experienced over 37,000 downloads. Every player has lived through these moments so far.

When you first download the game:

You start the game eager to catch every Pokemon you dreamed of in your childhood. You think of all the adventures you're going to go on. Except in reality, you're only running around your kitchen.

When the game finally does convince you to go outside:

Also know as a "Nerd Fitness App," the only down fall of the game is that you need to physically move to play it. At least we finally reached a pokéstop.

When you realize the pokéstop in your town are a little too odd for you to handle:

Pokéstops have been grave stones and even a few odd and local landmarks. This one falls into those categories... We found your new Sunday morning distraction at least.

When you go outside to play for a little too long:

Either this girl is never going to play the game again or she is going to just be slightly more cautious when playing. But at least now we're a generation of crime fighters too!

When you have been playing the game for 48 hours straight and you start seeing things:

Finally! The Pikachu we've always been after! Wait... Pikachu, why are you drinking a beer?

When you see your least favorite screen:

It is called Pokémon GO, not Pokémon STOP! It's been five hours and the server still isn't back up!

When you live in the dream location:

Walks five feet, gets 20 eggs to incubate. Unfortunately, where I live, the map looks like the exact opposite.

But the world has become a more social of a place:

Maybe they joined the same team and got some frozen yogurt after… Or maybe they both immediately ran away awkwardly.

When you finally find a gym to challenge:

How?! Not only did they find one of the hardest Pokémon to find ever but it is 980! What type of witch craft is this?

When you and your friends decide to get the upper hand:

If you're the driver, make the passenger seat play both games. Crashing the car isn't worth a Pikachu.

When this is what you really mean by friends:

We're just chillin’ like a villain. I'll capture you once my show is over.

When you realize nothing is safe from this revolution:

I love Pokémon. I also love Van Gogh. Never once did I think this combination would be possible. But the artwork is beautiful…

When you start to debate if you should move:

At least they are all over 100. The answer is yes. Move far, far away.

When you never forget the one that got away due to server issues:

Nothing is worst than when you finally see your dream Pokémon and then the app crashes the second you throw the dang ball. Pikachu, I thought we were friends…

Whatever you do, don't play the game if you're the one driving:

If you somehow manage to survive past your drive way, You'll see this minus the Pokémon. Enjoy the ticket. Try not to do it again, living is fun.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
