When you open up about a struggle you are facing, no matter how big or little it may seem, chances are someone you know has been there and can help you through it. It is easy to feel like a burden or like you might be bothersome to the people around you but trust me when I tell you, everyone needs to have a moment here and there. When you feel like absolutely nothing will ever go right in your life, know that with time it most certainly will, but you have to embrace the time in-between, and the not so good moments in your life.
The hardest thing in the world is to be in the in-between stage in your life. When nothing’s going right but not a whole lot is going really wrong. You are just living day-to-day wondering when things will turn around. Nothing is very exciting and life keeps showing you how mediocre it can be at times. The truth is you are not alone. Chances are someone you are close to is in the same spot, and the rest of your acquaintances have been there a time or two themselves. The problem is we wait for life to happen, when in reality, life is happening right now. At this very moment, as you break down and wonder what you did to deserve such a stagnant life, your life is happening. So many people say that after certain events occur or opportunities come their way their lives will begin but in reality this has been the life you have been meant to live this whole time.
It is hard to keep a positive attitude when you really aren’t living a positive life. When you can’t catch a break there are only so many things in a day that will bring you joy, and even those things tend to become numbered. When you are in an in-between stage in your life, know that the only way out is through. The only way to get what you want and to reach your end goal is to suffer through some really bad days or times and earn the good that is coming your way.
Nothing, I mean nothing happens in vain. You can’t live your life thinking that these not so bright times come without a purpose. You have to think about the things that bring you joy and do more of those. Think about the people who bring you joy and surround yourself with them. Think about the things you can do to bring yourself closer to where you want to be and do more of them. Life has no end goal; life is a process. It is a complicated state that never seems to make any sense, but letting it get you down because you’re not where you want to be won’t bring you any closer. Embrace these so-so moments, this is your life, and not so perfect moments are a part of it.
