My roommate was in Christmas mode at 12:00am on November 1st.
By that afternoon, ornaments hung from the ceiling, we had construction paper snowmen on our doors, and we each had a personalized stocking.
We also had a visitor-- a (knockoff) Elf on the Shelf.
Though we're not great at doing it everyday, every once in a while we help the Elf have some new adventures in our dorm room.
Here are some of our favorites:
1. Make sure to check your shoe so you don't hurt him!
2. Hanging out with his smiley, snowy friend.
3. Making a new friend under the Christmas tree.
4. Taking a peek at Christmas presents.
5. Hanging out with Mary, Joseph, and Jesus. (I apologize to my roommate's parents-- I don't think they've realized yet that the most important parts of their nativity scene are gone.)
6. Pretending he is a present.
7. Hanging a new ornament on the tree. (Go Cats!)
8. Using the stringed lights like a fireman's pole.
9. Taking a quick nap in his "sleeping bag."
10. Most importantly, reading about the first Christmas-- Jesus's birth!
