Who Was Pablo Escobar: "El Patron"

I’m a Netflix fan and have been going through some of the shows Netflix has to offer. I came across a series titled Narcos peeked with interest I wanted to check it out. I had also been hearing some mixed reviews from friends and family who started watching it.

Narcos is about Pablo Escobar the largest drug dealer in Columbia. Pablo Escobar a Colombia native, born in Rionegro on December 1, 1949 his birth name given by his mother is Emilio Escobar Gaviria. He was raised by his parents, and then moved to another part of Colombia. I am not sure if Emilio was born poor or not but as he was growing up he somewhere down the line his name changed to Pablo and he became a drug lord but not without helping out his country along the way of his career drug building empire. At the young age of 27 he found a young teenager and married her at the age of 15, her name is Maria. Pablo and Maria had two children while they were married a son named Sebastian and a daughter Manuela Escobar.

As I researched Pablo Escobar I read about him and I was intrigued he wasn’t born a terrorist. Pablo didn’t want to settle being poor. Living in a country where the government doesn’t help its people Pablo did what he felt was good for him and his country. Pablo gave back to his people making the cities and schools better. He gave back to his people to show that he was doing what he was doing for the better good. Pablo started to become too powerful for his own good. I am not sure if Pablo used within his drug business, but he was becoming a beast. Throughout the years it is said that Pablo started having his people kill others that tried to get in his way. Pablo become untouchable, he had the police on his payroll, some of whom were in the Government. Those who wouldn’t bow down he threatened, tortured, kidnapped or killed. Pablo killed over thousands of people for control or because he thought people were betraying him. At one point this man killed innocent children without a care, not cool Pablo.

Pablo became the largest drug cartel in Colombia. He started to sell loads of the white horse within and outside close neighboring countries, Venezuela, Panama, Costa Rica to Mexico then all the way to The United States of America specially Miami Florida and the USA wasn’t going to stand for drug trafficking they didn’t care who and where it was from. Pablo could not pay off America and that pissed him off. Okay, now this makes sense and why the United States of America President, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) of America got involved. Though it isn’t confirmed if there were CIA informants in any of the cartels in Colombia but the CIA had a lot of control inside Colombia.

I know Pablo was wanted for being a drug Lord in his country among other countries. I don’t believe that Pablo was a bad person for doing what he did to survive. And i did not agree how he took care of matters killing innocent people. I do believe in the drug business changes a person and the mentality and in this situation it changed Pablo into some type of beast demon with his business came his unfortunate assassinated death in the 1990’s. Even after his death the drug trafficking didn’t stop as America thought it would.

Pablo's Legacy of Drugs, Trafficking, Murder, Adultery, Money Laundering, Power, Control, Demonic Crazied. Leaving his family behind to endure all the hate, madness of the media. No where to hide and no where to go, leaving his family broke. After all where did all the drug money go?

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
