We always expect our best friends to be there when you need them. Some go the extra mile, here are eight things I want to thank you for.
1. Thank you for holding the pieces together when I was falling apart.
Not everyone has that friend that they can be the most vulnerable with. But I'm glad I have mine. Thank you for being there for me at some of the worst parts of my life. Not only are you my best friend, you're my family.
2. Thank you for your honesty.
Whether it was over something silly, like whether or not the shoes I picked out were cute, or something serious, as I chose my home for the upcoming school year. You were honest about the decisions I made. Whether you agreed with them or not.
3. Thank you for listening.
I know there are times where you don't understand the circumstances I am going through, or experiencing, and you didn't know what to say. Regardless, you listened. You let me vent about the tough situations and made me feel like someone cared about what I had to say.
4. Thank you for always wanting to solve an argument.
Even though we don't always see eye to eye, we always found a way to work through our disputes. Our friendship is too valuable to lose over any disagreement, and I'm glad you agree.
5. Thanks for being my ice cream, Netflix-binging partner.
You're my go to for a relaxing night. Our best nights don't involve drinking, going out and partying. Our girls' nights are by far my most favorite. Face masks, rocky road, and Grey's Anatomy binge-watching.
6. Thank you for participating in my last minute plans.
Regardless if you have a million other things going on throughout the day, my text message about grabbing coffee in the next half hour never goes unanswered. Thank you for being my coffee date, movie date, dinner date, pretty much my second boyfriend. But anyway, you get the idea.
7. Thanks for listening to me complain.
Whether I complained about being broke, about my mom (again...love you mom) or pretty much about anything and everything. Thank you for letting me be the whiner I am.
8. Thank you for accepting me.
Being that you've been friends with me for the last nine years you've seen me at my worst and my best. Regardless, you still choose to hang out with me. So I mean, that's pretty cool.
