If you’re like me, you’re always ready and waiting for the latest EDM single to drop. Lucky for you, I made a list of songs (not in any particular order) that you may not have heard about and will interest you! All of these are on iTunes and are definitely worth looking into. These eight songs will totally get you on your feet.
1. "Rolling Stones T-Shirt" - Dada Life
Coming from their album, “The Rules of Dada,” Dada Life shows what they’re all about in this song. Combined with lyrics and a deep bass, "Rolling Stones T-Shirt" is a great party song and will definitely drag you into Dada Land.
2. "Ten Feet Tall (feat. Wrabel)" - Afrojack
This song was on the radio for a very short period of time (which is unlike radio stations). However, this song is great to just listen to while you’re hanging out or going for a drive. Wrabel, the singer, has a beautiful voice that’ll make you want to put this hit on repeat!
3. "Waterbed (feat. Waterbed)" - The Chainsmokers
The Chainsmokers have been doing big things since their single “#SELFIE.” "Waterbed," sung by Waterbed, is a great club song. The bass speeds up and slows down just enough to keep it interesting without being distracting. Being that they’ve created a reputation for their drops, especially “The classic Chainsmoker 3rd drop,” as they like to call it, this is definitely worth the listen.
4. "Resistance" - Knife Party
In their album “Abandon Ship,” Knife Party uses a little more of a variety in their music than usual. Their songs in other albums like “100% No Modern Talking” are hard, edgy and sharp (you know, kinda like a knife). However, these Aussie boys have left their comfort zone and have more of a deep house style mixed into their usual dubstep routine.
5. "Derp" - Bassjackers & MAKJ
As you may know, Bassjackers are known for, well, the bass in their songs (I mean, I don’t think they would call themselves “Bassjackers” and not jack some bass). As you may have not known, so is MAKJ. These two artists together get down and dirty with “Derp,” which was released in 2014. The drop will bring any bass loving EDM fan to their knees. Though it hasn’t been played on the radio, it’s available on iTunes.
6. "Summer (R3hab & Ummet Ozcan Remix)" - Calvin Harris
I know that people don’t usually like remixes of songs that are already amazing, but this is an exception. Most of the beats and bass are relatively the same and the lyrics are the same, but the drop (oooh that drop). It'll definitely get your heart pumpin’ and your feet moving.
7. "EDM Trend Machine" - Knife Party
This is one of those songs on “Abandon Ship” that is a little more of a variety than Knife Party usually has. With a deep bass and an upbeat tempo, this deep-house style song really gets you moving. Even some people that aren’t huge EDM fans seem to dig this song a lot. It’s definitely worth the listen!
