Now that the warm weather is finally upon us and there is not any snow in the forecast for hopefully another five months at least, it is time to start soaking up the warm weather and all of the perks that come along with it. Swimming, boating, trying to get a nice tan, barbecuing, and spending a lot of time with friends and family are some of the many reasons we love summer. However, for me, my love for warm weather coincides with one major benefactor of the summer season, and that is the plethora of ice cream available in this season.

There are countless reasons on why one should have a healthy diet of ice cream; the obvious such as it tastes great, its can cool you down and it is a way better than cake or cookies. But there is more than just that to ice cream, and that is what I will share with you in the next few hundred words. So, make sure to eat your ice cream this summer.

The ice cream business is one that is most certainly on the rise, there are thousands of ice cream stands across America serving soft, hard, and any other form of ice cream that may be in between such as frozen yogurt or custard or dole whip or even Italian ice. These may not be ice cream in particular, but sold at ice cream stands nonetheless, so we will classify it with normal hard or soft ice cream. With ice cream in it;s many forms comes a lot of competition. I know I always keep in mind how good ice cream is from a certain place and the better the ice cream, the more likely I will return there again. Customer service and price also goes into how great the ice cream tastes. If the ice cream is cheap, served with a smile and is delicious then that would be a perfect trip. Most times you can't get all three of those scenarios, but if you do, let me know where to go!

With ice cream being a competitive business in a lot of places, it is an industry that is also adapting and businesses are constantly looking how to become the best at what they do when it comes to a delicious frozen treat! So that is great news for us, the customer, and yet another reason why you should eat ice cream. Today, at most places you can always find chocolate, vanilla, and twist. But at many places, there have been adaptations made to create a countless number of new flavors. This has even made grocery stores expand their ice cream selection due to the dozens of flavors. You may find bacon ice cream, peanut butter ice cream, Fruit Loop ice cream, Pop Rock ice cream, and many more. So, we no longer have to settle for the usual which is a major reason on why you should eat more ice cream, try every flavor you can and don't feel any shame for it.

Hopefully the past 500 words or so has coerced you to eat more ice cream this summer because in my opinion there is not a better dessert out there. If I have yet to sway you to eat more ice cream, remember, it is a comfort food and can also help you relieve stress and feel better. So, without further contemplation, get on your bike or in your car and go get a tasty frozen treat. Throw on some sprinkles, you deserve it!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
