12 Easy Dessert Recipes To Fill Your Thanksgiving Table

I love to bake, but with all the cooking that has to be done during Thanksgiving making another complicated recipe is the last thing I want to do. These easy desserts for Thanksgiving will quickly fill your table with delicious treats and cause you minimal stress. Best of all most can all be served cold or room temperature, so you can make them ahead of time and store them in the fridge. Hopefully, you'll have enough to last you more than just Thanksgiving day so you can actually enjoy all of your hard work, without the company of 20+.

KEYWORD: easy desserts for Thanksgiving

1. Pumpkin Pie

Pumpkin pie can be super simple if you want it to be.

This pumpkin pie recipe is so simple, it shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes to prepare. Pumpkin pie can be as easy or as complicated as you want it to be, for those of you in a rush we kept it simple.

2. Rice Krispie Treats

Such a little alteration makes these so cute.

Rice Krispie treats are one of the easiest desserts for Thanksgiving. This tutorial takes it to the next level by making the design a little more festive while still keeping it simple.

3. Chocolate Covered Pretzels

Even the sprinkles here are festive.

This dessert is all about presentation. By taking the time to decorate the vase, it takes this 20 minute dessert to a whole new level.

4.  Cannoli Dip

I love cannoli dip!

This recipe doesn't even require heat. Simply mix together the ingredients in a bowl and serve them with broken pieces of waffle cone.

5. Pumpkin Bread

Even pumpkin bread from scratch isn't that complicated to make.

Again, anything you don't have to portion out prior to baking is going to be quick to throw together. Once you get the bread in the oven there's nothing to worry about.

6. Chocolate Acorns

Can all acorns be chocolate?

These chocolate acorns are adorable and so simple to make. They look so cute and so professional, no one will even realize how simple they were for you to make.

7. Pudding Pie

Pie is a mandatory Thanksgiving food.

Pudding pie is another recipe that only requires you mix everything in a bowl. Make the pudding, mix in the Cool Whip, smooth into the crust and you're done!

8. Caramel Apple Slices

I'm making these tonight honestly.

Look at this!! While you probably can't make this much ahead of time as the apples will turn brown, odds are it will only take you 5 minutes to make. Melt the chocolate and caramel, drizzle over top and serve! These are totally customizable as well.

9. Cookie Bars

Classic desserts can be simplified to better suit your needs.

Making chocolate chip cookie bars is one of the easiest desserts for Thanksgiving I can think of. Everyone loves chocolate chip cookies, but portioning out the dough can take forever. Instead, bake them in a cake pan and cut them into squares to serve.

10. S'mores Dip

Dessert dips are just as important as appetizer dips.

LOOK at this!! The only downside to this recipe is the inability to prepare it before. You can totally prepare it in the skillet earlier, but the marshmallows and chocolate being hot and melty, fresh from the oven is crucial to this dish.

11. Brownies

I could 100% eat a full tray of brownies.

Yep, back to things in pans. Everyone loves brownies plus they're super simple to make. Amp them up by adding things like walnuts and chocolate chips.

12. Homemade Ice Cream

Vanilla ice cream and apple pie is an important Thanksgiving dessrt.

Homemade ice cream does double duty at the Thanksgiving table. It works as a dessert on its own, or can be served along with pie. Plus its an easy Thanksgiving dessert you can prepare days in advance and store in your freezer.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
