I never really know what I want to write about. Honestly, I always put off writing an article until our editor emails me telling me to write. I usually write about my favorite TV shows, usually because I spend so much time watching Netflix. However, in my brainstorming that started five minutes ago, I decided to give y'all some ideas for when you have no idea what to write.
Talk about your favorite TV show
This is a favorite of mine, especially because I can write the article while I'm watching the show. If you find a show you're truly passionate about, you can rant about the show carefully and it's an easy article. These are very easy articles to write and they can be varied, especially if you watch a lot of shows.
Write about your pets
Seriously, I will read almost any article that features a dog. We all love and miss our pets, even if our pets don't love and miss us. These are also easy articles to write because we know our pets so well and it's cathartic to talk about your pets. It doesn't matter if your pet is a "fun" pet like a dog or cat, a "boring" pet like a fish or a turtle, or a "fake" pet like a rock; just write about your pets.
Complain
We all know I'm obsessed with internet sensation and People's Choice Award winner Matt Bellassai, who rose to fame by starring in the BuzzFeed video series "Whine About It," a show that consisted of Bellassai getting drunk and complaining. His tagline was, "Hi, my name is Matt Bellassai and this is Whine About It, a video series where I get drunk at my desk and complain about stuff." Since then, he has moved on to a show called "To Be Honest" or "#TBH," that now consisted of him doing the same thing in his apartment. If Matt Bellassai can get famous complaining, then you can write an article complaining.
Talk about something you love
Whether it's eating macaroni and cheese or playing a sport or anything, it's very easy to talk about what you love. Many people encourage you to write your papers about something you're passionate about, because it makes you rant so easily and before you know it, you've hit your page limit.
Do a movie/show/book review
Do not, and I repeat, do not give away any spoilers, or you need to put a spoiler warning at the top of the article in massive bold print. I was so impressed with the internet when the most recent Star Wars movie came out, because I waited nearly a month to see it and I had no idea what was going to happen. If there is a big plot twist, find another way to say it or don't mention it at all. Remember, if you need to give away spoilers, mention it at the beginning.
So there you are, lots of tips to give you ideas to write your articles. Maybe I'll take my own advice.
