Earth Sign: Capricorn Women

Whether you are a devoted follower or a casual member, we have all jumped on the zodiac train. Sometimes it connects to what is happening in your life and sometimes it doesn't.

I enjoy them. It is like a gloried personality quiz. It makes me think. So do I live my life by them? No. Do I enjoy them? Yes.

So this is why Capricorn women are perfect.

1. We build empires.

Some might refer to them as the "Dragon Lady" or "Workaholics," but when did this become a bad thing? They know what they want and they make it happen. They like to work and create.

They have a goal and sometimes they would rather do it themselves. They do push the people around them because they are stern and will not settle for excuses. They see the possibilities. They are usually very successful.

They are ambitious. That's just they way they are programmed.

2. Creativity is a gift.

If they are faced with a problem, they need to find an unorthodox way to fix it. They enjoy creating things and that takes a little bit of weird.

We are quick to make some dull moments fun and look at ways to bedazzle our surroundings.

3. She knows what she wants.

They are very specific. Sometimes they would rather be loved than love.

But when Cupid comes along they fall in love hard. They are hopeless romantics, but they are also cynical. It just take the right person to catch their interest.

4. They aren't scary.

They might mean business at work, but they are very approachable. They are friendly, and once you are their friend, the walls come down. They will make you laugh until you pee yourself. They are the masters of sarcasm and they use that.

5. Honesty is the best policy.

If you need a friend who will tell you what you want to hear, then a Capricorn isn't for you. She is blunt and will not sugarcoat the truth. It isn't because she's trying to be rude, it's just how she views friendship. They are the friends to tell you the truth everyone else is scared to say, but she will also be the friend to let you cry on her shoulder. She will also pick you up, wipe off the tears and tell you to woman up.

6. They are a blast in a glass.

She loves to have a good time. She works hard and parties harder. She isn't a square. She might not be your wildest friend, but she knows how to make memories.

7. They love fashion.

Capricorns are known to love money. We enjoy clothes and fashion. It isn't only about the nice shiny things but about the artistic view of fashion. It isn't just clothes. Capricorn women can see that, and they understand it is a part of their brand, who they want to be.

8. Loyalty is never questioned.

Although Capricorns in general are seen as a little hard on the outside, they are loving, caring and, most importantly, loyal. Once you become their friend, they will be by your side. They rarely have a bad heart.

9. They don't care.

Some will have opinions and some will have strong opinions, but Capricorn women do not care. Some might go as far as calling them b****es, but in all reality, Capricorn women do not care. They are busy building a legacy to worry about your petty insecurities. They have hearts of gold and are emotional, even though they are really good at not showing it. It sounds negative to be good at putting on a persona, but most successful people do.

In the end, Capricorn women are just like other women, but we all like to feel connected.

P.S. Kate Middleton and Michelle Obama are Capricorns.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
