Every time I go home or come back to college, I pass a drive-in theater that is still in business. It makes me smile every time I drive past it. I’ve never been to a drive-in theater, but I really want to go to one. I mean, why not? It seems like a lot of fun. Here are the eight reasons why drive-in theaters should make a comeback.

You can talk as much as you want

You can’t talk in a movie theater. If you do, people will shush you, and hate you for it. In a drive-in theater, you can talk as much as you want without having to worry about someone yelling at you.

They are super nostalgic

Drive-In theaters take you back to a much simpler time in history. The first drive-in movie theater opens eighty-five years ago in 1933 in Crescent Boulevard in Camden, New Jersey. Drive-In theaters have stood the test of time.

You get two movies for the price of one

How awesome is that? At a movie theater, you are paying seven to ten dollars for just one movie while at a drive-in theater, you pay ten dollars for two. So, basically, you’re paying five dollars for each movie which I think is a good deal. Can't get any better than that.

You can enjoy being outside

You get more space, and not have to worry about being crammed into one room. Plus, I would rather take fresh air over an air conditioner any day.

You can bring your own animals

I think that’s pretty awesome. Most places, don’t let you bring your pets with you, and you have to leave them home. But at drive-in theaters, you can bring them with. Get the whole family together. My dog loves to be outside, and he loves car rides. It’s a win-win situation.

You can bring your own food and drinks

Most places let you bring your own food and drinks in. You can bring whatever you want, and it's much cheaper to get it at the store over getting it at the movie theater. And generally, the sizes that you get from the store are bigger than the food you get at the movie theater.

Drive-In theaters are the perfect place for a date

It's simple, fun, and unique. You can talk to your date, and get to know them as you watch a movie unlike if you would go to a movie theater. You can enjoy the weather and have a picnic in your car. There are so many good ideas.

Drive-In theaters are for all ages

Looking for something cheap and fun to do as an entire family, drive-in theaters are a good place to check out.

Going to a drive-in theater has always been on my bucket list, and I hope that one day, I can go to one. These are some reasons why drive-in theaters should make a comeback. It's a great way to step in a little bit of history and nostalgia.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
