The Do's and Don'ts of visiting your older brother in College are as follows.
If your older brother is anything like mine, then you are definitely thinking that you went to a different college to escape your brother and hopefully after twenty years of life you will finally be able to talk to a boy. But the fact of the matter is, that when the opportunity arises for you to go visit your brother at school, you take it. Here are the top 5 do's and don'ts I've learned from visiting my brother.
1. DO bring your HOT friends!
Let's be honest, your brother is more likely to be nice to you if you bring hot friends. He will try and be the brother of the year. Pay for things, make sure you get VIP status at the frat house, and always have enough alcohol. Doing all this, he hopes that one of your friends will eventually notice and marry him. Sad but true. On another note, make sure your friends can drink before they take on a weekend of visiting your brother.
2. If he offers to put you up at his girlfriend's house DO take it!
Sounds weird, I know, but let's be honest, it's best if you are not with your older brother the whole time you visit him. All of his strict rules go out the window when you are not staying at his house. Most likely he is putting you at his girlfriend's or best girl friend's house. This is definitely cleaner than his and she understands how long it takes to get ready and doesn't b**** at you when you are not. She probably has all the girly things you need too like vodka, straws, and diet soda. (If you are lucky, staying there will even give you a chance to talk to a boy.)
3. DON'T hook up with any of his friends
That just eliminates any chance of you being able to come back again. There is never a high five given after one of your brother's best friends hooks up with his little sister. Leave that duty to your “hot friends" that you brought with you so that in a case it was a hookup gone wrong and you want to go back she can avoid the situation and just not come with.
4. DO send your parents pictures
They love that s***. Seeing that their kids get along is great for them but even better when they can post it on Facebook and show all of their friends.
5. DO accept the fact that you are “his little sister."
Look at it like this, you are visiting him at his school, therefore you are on his territory and what he says goes. (Even if when he visits you his behavior is less than par.) He may be an ignorant “frat star" but he only has his pledges surround you so that you cannot talk to boys to prove that he cares. You may be a few free drinks short that night but you will most definitely leave his school with some great lifelong memories.
