Ah yes, it's that time again. You can feel the electricity rising in the halls of high schools everywhere. Prom is only a few months away, and graduation to follow. Visions of fancy updos, flawless eyeliner, and gorgeously manicured nails dance in the head of almost every senior girl. But most of all, every girl wants the absolute perfect prom dress.

However, that is not always as easy as it sounds. If you don't know what kind of dress you want, you'll probably have to sort through hundreds of dresses and tens of department stores, boutiques, and online stores. But even if you do know exactly what you want, it's near impossible to find the perfect style, color, and size without even mentioning a price range. Sizing is perhaps one of the biggest problems while dress shopping. Sizes vary from dress to dress, confusing and frustrating girls everywhere. Sometimes you may be a size 3, while other times you can fit into a 6 or even a 1. Or you might find a beautiful dress, but there are absolutely none in your size. Oh, the struggle.

Make sure you set a budget for yourself- don't even let yourself look at dresses that are out of your price range, and you won't have to make the stretch. That can help narrow down the choices as well, when you feel overwhelmed by the hundreds of dresses in the stores. When making your budget, consider the other things you'll be buying for prom as well: shoes, hair, nails, or a clutch can be extra costs you may not have even thought about before buying the dress.

Think about what type of dress compliments you; color, shape, and style can all make a difference in how you look in a dress. You know what you look good in, so accentuate your best features! But above all, wear whatever you feel best in The dress that makes you feel most comfortable and beautiful is the dress for you. Another tip is to make sure you take pictures in each dress, because how it looks in the mirror and how it looks in pictures can be different. This way, you'll know how it looks from all angles.

Dress shopping can be tiring, but it can also be a ton of fun and you can make a day out of it. Grab a bunch of girlfriends and go to the nearest mall. Between cramming 6 girls in one dressing room, attempting to zip each other up, and taking runway pictures of each of your dresses, you'll find yourself having a ton of fun. You'll also be able to get honest opinions about each dress, and might even find the perfect one!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
