Everyone loves a good frat party, I mean you've got the three B's: beers, booze, and boys.
However there are some unspoken rules that everyone should be aware of to have a fratastic night. The unspoken rules are as followed:
- Don't be the weird person in the corner, Seriously, branch out and meet people
- Do go with a group of your friends
- Don't EVER take your shoes off, no matter how much they hurt. Jenna Marbles did say, "you are married to your shoes."
- Do pregame while getting ready- it's more fun to jam out to a Katy Perry song and do your makeup a bit tipsy.
- Don't drink and drive (obviously) a taxi cab is a lot cheaper than a DUI.
- Do know your limits when drinking, no one wants to be that person. Besides you'll want to remember that cutie you were dancing with and trade numbers at the end of the evening.
- Don't be a party pooper- a frat party isn't the time or the place to get into with your boyfriend/girlfriend/slampiece.
- Do wear something comfortable- because nothing is worse than talking with that hottie in your psych class and having to readjust your outfit every two seconds. (also keep in mind that beer will more than likely be spilt on you.)
- Do respect the security, they are just doing their jobs- glorified babysitting, and I'm sure they would much rather be doing their own thing than watching you- besides there is not any reason to be disrespectful.
- Don't EVER, under ANY circumstances take opened drinks from random strangers, no matter how cute or charming they may seem.
- Do eat before you go out- trust me you will not regret that decision.
- Don't be the person in the corner who is trying to eat someone's face. No one wants to watch that.
- Do carry a wallet instead of a purse, it is easier to hang onto. Besides all you really need when you go out is your ID, student ID, money, and your phone.
- Don't go home with anyone until you tell your friends that you came with. It might give you a way out of a awkward situation, and plus your friends would worry if you didn't.
- Do be nice-you attract more flies with honey than vinegar.
- Don't be the first there and most certainly don't be the last one to leave.
- Do know your boundaries, if someone isn't into you then back off, nothing is more embarrassing than being the creepy, obnoxious person.
- Don't be afraid to let loose and have some fun. College is the best four years of your life! (Unless you make the victory lap.)
Stick to these unspoken rules and you'll be just fine. I promise college is about making mistakes, doing crazy things, and meeting the best of friends. Enjoy it while you can!
