From Someone Who Might Have More Animals Than Kids

No, I don't hate kids. I just prefer animals. Yes, I would like kids. Maybe one, two, no more than that. I just choose to not have a lot of kids. I think about how many animals I'll have, though.

I believe some people want to have a lot of kids and don't like pets. Some people like both a lot. This does not make me mean person, nor a person who does not want a family. I am a very family oriented human being. When we were younger, our teachers would ask us, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" Of course, we had those few peoples who said, "A mom." I can understand that, but I do not choose to only do that all my life.

In a sense, I think animals can be easier to take care of. They are most definitely cheaper than children. I have always thought about how many animals I wanted and how I'll be a good Mommy to all my cats. I will probably end up being a crazy cat lady with no children. My husband will have to deal with my love for animals. He will have to deal with my constant desire to spoil my animals.

Twins run in my family and I'm honestly terrified of just that, two kids at once? This could be one reason why I will probably want to wait and wait until I am absolutely positive that I want a child. I think having a kid to continue my family line, would be very nice, but I do not think about it as much as animals. There is just so many pets that do not have homes. This could be why I am so happy with adoption.

Do not hate my decision to not have a desire of having children. I could be saving us from another over population. Maybe I will have kids, maybe I won't. I am going to be a mommy of many animals, though. Animals deserve a lot of care also. Call me crazy, but I am going to have more animals than kids.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
