"Don't cross the ocean for people who doesn't even jump puddles for you."

That's what they always say. Recently, I have read something that adds with the quotation above. To continue crossing them even though they wouldn't for you. Because that's how love goes, you don't expect them to reciprocate what you did for these people. That has a point though, right? If you love them, you will do everything that you can to see them, to be with them. But here's what I am going to say. Learn to draw the line. Learn to stop crossing that ocean when you're the only one who makes the effort. Sometimes, it feels good to be that someone that people cross oceans for.

I've been pushing and pulling back to the idea of self love. But most of the time, I wish someone would get the idea that it feels good to feel special, to feel loved and needed. People will say things that they think you wanted to hear, but I hope time will come and people will be able to say things that they really mean.
