Don't Call It A Come Back

Old Fashion trends that are trends again

As we all know fashion is like a revolving door. Certain trends always make its way back to the spotlight, no matter how long ago it was actually in the spotlight. Here's a list of some of the hottest and my favorite trends that have came back to light this year.

1. Tinted Shades

Personally, I think these shades are to die for. What's better than viewing the world through a lens that is the color of your choice? Not only that, but a tinted lens can help make one hell of a fashion statement.

2. Chokers

From the 90's all the way to 2017; these neck accessories are still just as grunge as they were, but now they've been expanded to make them more fashionable.

3. Embroidered Jeans

If you're a true 90's baby, you remember the embroidered jeans with the Mickey Mouse or even the floral print. Well Gucci has made a huge fashion comeback with the prints on they're jeans and they are THE BOMB DOT COM. If only I had the money to afford them (sighs deeply)

4. Fishnets

What would the era of the punk rock 80's be with out fishnets, like coffee without cream and sugar? Fishnets have made they're way back into the fashion game but exclude the bright colors and spiked hair, and add a pair of jeans or sweat pants on top.

5. Bandanas

When I think of Bandana's all I can think about is rapper Tupac and singer Aaliyah, who were known for rocking the trend back in the day. Now they've resurfaced to stand as a chocker or even as a trendy head band for bad hair days (well thats what I like them for).

6. Satin Slip Dresses

There's nothing sexier than a satin slip dress. Can be worn on a night out with friends or even on date night with your man or woman. With the perfect accessories and heels, this dress will have you looking like a celebrity. That is why I love it so much, I had to get one made for my 20th birthday.

If you don't have at least one of these items in your closet, then what could you possibly be wearing. Whatever it is, I'm sure it is so last year. Step Your Game UP!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
