Nowadays history tends to repeat itself, especially in the fashion world. Lately, I've noticed that more and more trends are coming back.

1. Chokers

I love chokers I just bought one for myself. I'm so happy these are back in style. Chokers were very popular during the 90's. The stretchy ones known as "tattoo chokers" were a huge hit. Now they're back and better than ever. Chokers come in all different styles now.

2. Flannels

One of my favorite things to wear during the fall! They're super comfy.

3. Denim everything

Denim jackets, vests, and dresses are back! I remember when jean jackets were popular in the 90's and early 2000's.

4. Crop tops

Not my favorite trend but I can't go anywhere without seeing at least one person wearing one.

5. Overalls

Now they come in short form too.

6. Colored hair

Nowadays everyone is dying their hair all colors of the rainbow- even grey!

7. Tying a shirt around your waist.

I used to do this all the time when I was a child, and then I stopped when I was 12 because people would judge me. Now it's made a comeback and I'm low key glad.

8. Scrunchies

I'm not really a scrunchie person. My mom never stopped wearing scrunchies even though they did go out of style.

9. Birkenstocks

Low key kind of want a pair but I'm pretty sure my feet are too wide.

10. High-waisted jeans/shorts

These will probably die out soon but I do like the style and look of them.

11. Body suits

These honestly look like one pieces in clothing form to me.

12. Round sunglasses

Everyone wants to be like Elton John now.

Which trends are your favorite? I hope some of these never go away. I can't even imagine what my kids will wear.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
