While the origins of Thanksgiving are controversial, it's now viewed more as a holiday that gives you an excuse to eat as much food as you can, take a nap, and then watch a Christmas movie (or five).
Here are the top 10 dishes to stuff your gullet with this Thanksgiving. Enjoy!
1. Turkey/Ham

A cult classic. You can never go wrong with either of these, or both if you're feeling snazzy!
2. Any Kind Of Casserole

My personal fave is corn casserole, however green bean casserole is another Thanksgiving favorite.
3. Crescent Rolls/Hawaiian Rolls

While these may not technically be a dish, they are a quintessential part of the Thanksgiving food eating experience.
4. Pumpkin Pie

Now you can mix this up with other types of pie, but nothing feels more like Thanksgiving than a slice of pumpkin pie with whipped cream on top! Pecan pie is another Thanksgiving-themed pie, if that's more your jam.
5. Literally Anything With "Potato" In The Name

This also includes mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes, but cheesy potatoes are something my family makes every year and, let me tell you, they are DELICIOUS.
6. Candied Yams
Put some marshmallows on top, and you don't even realize you're eating yams.
7. Stuffing

You don't really know what's in it, but someone always brings it.
9. Cornbread
Not linked with crescent or Hawaiian rolls because cornbread is an entire experience all on its own.
10. Green Beans

They're good for you and you'll need to eat at least one healthy thing to make yourself feel better!
Eat to your heart and stomach's content, this holiday is about actually being able to enjoy gluttony!
Happy Thanksgiving!
