Summer is here and I am ready for it.

The temperatures are rising and

the sun is beating down

on the earth in a warm

golden glow.

The leaves on the tallest trees

stretch to capture the light

and the wildflowers in the fields

flourish where they sway in the breeze.

The birds flit from tree to treetop,

singing their songs

and the squirrels leap from

branch to branch searching for acorns.

The children run in the yards

and dive into deep blue pools,

screeching happily from the

instant chill the water provides.

Summer is in full bloom

and everything is warm.

The golden rays of the sun

send light and joy where they land.
