I love bentonite clay, it's amazing for my skin especially on summer days when my face could get oily. If you never heard of bentonite clay, it's basically a facial that you can do at home! It really works well to reduce acne and scaring. Bentonite clay is made from volcanic ash from the Mojave desert (it sounds weird, but I swear it works like magic!) It's great at detoxifying the face and maintaining a healthy balance especially on days when you have oily skin.

I started out using the "trendy" Aztec Healing Clay, until one day I was about to purchase a replacement on Amazon, and decided to try a different brand of bentonite clay with 5 star reviews (some claiming that it's better than Aztec Healing Clay, I had to try it!) Aztech Premium not only had great reviews, their product was less expensive AND 10 percent of their profits go to charitable organizations and social justice programs. Aztec Premium worked amazing on my skin, just as good, if not better than Indian Healing Clay. The brand is exclusively sold on Amazon. After using the product and washing my face, I immediately saw the effects. My skin felt smooth immediately and the next day, my face was a lot clearer. I've noticed even more of an improvement overtime when I use the clay a few times a week.

So now that you know what to buy, here are some tips. Try to avoid using bentonite clay every single day because it can strip the oil from your face and you may be dry (which is also the reason why it's so good for acne.) I would recommend using bentonite clay 3 times a week, this is typically how often I use it. You mix the clay with equal parts apple cider vinegar (you can use water too, but just trust me, use apple cider vinegar!)

No Sex And Upstate New York

A modern-day reincarnation of Carrie Bradshaw's classic column

Around the age of 12, when I was deciding whether or not to be gay, Satan appeared on my left shoulder. “Ramsssey,” he said with that telltale lisp. “Come over to our side. We have crazy partiessss.” He made a strong case, bouncing up and down on my shoulder with six-pack abs and form-fitting Calvin Kleins. An angel popped up on the other shoulder and was going to warn me about something, but Satan interrupted- “Shut up, you crusty-ass bitch!’ The angel was pretty crusty. She disappeared, and from that moment forward I was gay.

Senior Year Is Here And I Am So Not Ready For It

I was you not that long ago. I was once an eager freshman, a searching sophomore, and a know-it-all junior. Now? Now I am a risk taker. Not the type that gets you in trouble with your parents, but the type that changes your future. Senior year is exciting. A lot of awesome things come along with being the top-dog of the school, but you, right now, are building the foundation for the next 4 years that you will spend in high school. I know you've heard it all. "Get involved", "You'll regret not going to prom", "You're going to miss this". As redundant as these seem, they're true. Although I am just at the beginning of my senior year, I am realizing how many lasts I am encountering.

Why Driving Drives Me Crazy

the highways are home

With Halloween quickly approaching, I have been talking to coworkers about what scares us. There are always the obvious things like clowns, spiders, heights, etc. But me? There are a number things I don't like: trusting strangers, being yelled at, being in life or death situations, parallel parking. All of these are included when you get behind the wheel of a car.
