Donald Trump Is The Next President. Get Over It.

He will be president and there is nothing you can do about it.

Donald Trump Is The Next President. Get Over It.

11/9. AKA the day Donald Trump officially became president-elect. Obviously, there are people who are thrilled that Donald Trump is president because they believe he is the best candidate to help America flourish. On the opposite side of the spectrum, you have Clinton supporters who are completely flabbergasted and amazed that such a "horrible," "racist," and "unqualified," candidate is now in charge of running our country.

Regardless of who I voted for and who you voted for, Donald Trump is the President of the United States of America. We can complain about it, cry about it, move out of the country and sit and sulk about what has happened, or we can move on. In reality, who is going to benefit from your constant negativity on social media and in your everyday life? It's going to affect you, your friends, and your family. Nothing can change the fact that Donald Trump is the new President of the United States.

However, if you are one of the many Clinton supporters who voted for Hillary in this election, I urge you to please consider other's feelings. Not every person who voted for Donald Trump is racist, sexist, homophobic or bigoted. Many liberals are upset because of the election and have resorted to calling Trump supporters these horrible, condemning names. Not everyone who voted for Trump supports every single thing he has said and done, and the same thing goes for Hillary Clinton.

Have you ever thought that people weren't necessarily Trump supporters but simply didn't want a corrupt politician as Hillary Clinton leading this country?

This presidential election, for a lot of people, was simply voting for the lesser of two evils. Of course, there were hardcore Trump supporters and dedicated Clinton supporters, but for a lot of people, they were torn and they felt Trump was the lesser of two evils.

This was my first presidential election I was ever able to vote in and the candidate I voted for did win. However, I have been condemned and judged because of who I voted for by friends and family and that simply isn't right. The things liberals have been saying to Trump supporters are just downright hateful and mean. I've never seen such hate in the world and it saddens me to see my close family and friends acting in such spiteful ways.

Today, Donald Trump officially became the president of the United States. You can be mad, happy or sad about this but it doesn't give you the right to judge others for what they believe it. We all believe in different things but no one has the right to condemn another person because of their beliefs.

Donald Trump will be the new President of the United States. Get over it.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
