Dogs are man's and woman's best friends. They love you no matter what and are always so happy to see you when you get home. I am lucky to have had more dogs in my life than I can count. I love each of those dogs more than I should, but since I got my own puppy, my obsession has grown tremendously. Here are some things you can probably relate to if you're obsessed with your dog.
1. You get jealous when your dog pays attention to anyone else but you.
You want your dog's attention, and all of it, so you can't help but get jealous when your dog wants to go and see anyone else. You hate that your dog likes anyone else but you.
2. You wake your dog up because you want to tell them you love them.
Yes, they look so cute while they're asleep, but you also want to make sure they know how much you love them. Dogs are so loving and can make a bad day a lot better, and for that, you want to make sure that they know how much they mean to you.
3. You miss them when you are gone.
Being away from your dog is the worst thing. You hate that you can't just stay home and cuddle with them all day. You know that going to work is necessary so you can provide for them, but you hate every second of it.
4. You cannot wait to get home and cuddle with them.
After a long day away from home, there is nothing better than coming home to a dog who is so happy to see you. Sometimes, you just need to cuddle with your dog because their kisses can make your day a lot better. It doesn't matter if they don't want to cuddle, you force them to because you're a little bit selfish and you need a puppy cuddle.
5. Ninety percent of the pictures on your phone are of them.
As an obsessed dog parent, you feel the need to document every little thing your dog does because they are just so adorable. All of your recent pictures are of your dog, making it easy to access them when you want to show a picture.
6. You'd rather hang out with your dog than go out.
You can be in your pajamas with your hair looking like a mess while stuffing your face and your dog won't care. You dog is just fine sleeping right next to or on top of you. Your dog doesn't bump into you and make you spill your drink.
7. You show off your dog every chance you get.
You tell your friends or coworkers stories about your dog. You tell them all about that cute thing your dog did that morning and then show them pictures of your dog. You look for any chance to show off that new picture you just took. You love to take your dog with you just so you can show your dog off.
8. You'd rather be uncomfortable than make your dog move.
Your dog is asleep on your back? In between your legs? That's fine! You really need to move, but you know you can't because you don't want to disrupt your dog's sleep. You would rather your dog be the one that's comfortable. Plus, your dog thinks that it's their bed and they are sharing it with you.
9. You worry about your dog constantly.
When your dog has a cough or they are limping, you get worried. You talk to them and ask them if they're okay. You think about every little thing that could be wrong. You stay up late worrying and hoping that they will be okay. You hate to think about something bad happening to your dog.
