You know what the real problem in today's world is? The fact that there are far too many cat people! LIke really, come on. At first, I figured that there would be a lot more dog people, because everyone loves dogs!
Or so I thought. I mean, this was probably based on how many people I either knew that had dogs, or saw walking their dog(s) down the street, in the park, everywhere! But I guess maybe that's because cats are out of sight out of mind, while dogs are outside, and visible.
Whatever the reason, it seems to me like everyone you ask claims to be a cat person, whether they like both and just prefer cats or just overall find cats to be the grand supreme rulers. This just isn't right! What is everyone thinking? Dogs are so better! Why? I'll tell you why!
For one thing, dogs are loyal as hell. They're your best friend forever. They always want to be around people, playing with them, getting their bellies rubbed, or any type of human interaction.
No matter what you do, they'll always come back to love you in a matter of minutes. You accidentally hurt them? Thats OK, give them a few minutes and they'll come running back to you like nothing ever happened. You leave for college and don't see them for a while? They are the happiest people! "Yes! My best friend is back! Time to party!"
Cats ,though, they are all for themselves. Most of the time, it takes them a long time to establish a connection to people. All they want to do is sleep, lick themselves, and not be bothered. And then if they do, it's only just for their own personal gain. They cuddle you to get fed, or get the rubber band they want and bam. Back to doing their own thing. And despite them showing very little love in person, don't even think about going to college away from home and leaving them. I left and came back and my cat didn't want anything to do with me for days. What grudge-holders!
Dogs are also a thousand times nicer than cats will ever be. Sure, you hear a few stories here and there about dogs going crazy and attacking people. But most of the time, dogs just want to play and have fun.
Cats, however, oh my. How many times do you hear of cats getting mad about something, or nothing at all, and scratching, hissing at and biting their owners? Even if they don't get mad, you can just be hanging out with a cat, and even if it's more on the lovable side than most, they still dig their claws into you like its no big deal. That's not cool! Owners love their cats so much, and what do cats do in return? Induce pain for no reason!
Dogs are also a whole lot more fun than cats will ever be. The most you can do with a cat is cuddle them on your lap, if youre lucky enough to do that, and maybe have them run around like a nut chasing a light or a shadow on the wall. (Which, I'll admit, is pretty funny to watch. Cats are dumb, which makes them funny to watch. But not even all cats are into that. Most find it more fun to sleep and hide under the couch or sunbathe in a window than actually have fun.)
Dogs, though, they're all about fun. You can hang out with them on the couch, play with a ball inside, take them for walks in the park, play frisbee, and the list goes on and on. The possibilites are endless. And at the end of the day, they'll cuddle right next to you in bed too. Cats like to pick night time to run around and cause havoc, knocking things, and getting into everything. As long as their human is sleeping and can't see them they can't get in trouble, or so they seem to think. (Although, I have seen numerous cats knock down cups and knock things off tables on purpose right in front of people. Even when they get repremanded, they don't care. They just keep doing it! They're malicious!)
I could go on and on about why I think, or know really, why dogs are superior to cats. But I think that's enough for now. Whatever you choose, I just hope you and your pets love each other and are good to one another. Pets are lovely, and everyone deserves to have one to come home to at the end of the day.
