It's been a dream of every dog owner at least once. To look into your pup's eyes and hear just what's going on in that adorable head of theirs is something we all have wished. Recently, a Tumblr post went viral when a user said what none of us knew we agreed on, that "The Parks and Recreation theme song is what the inside of a golden retriever’s head sounds like." Inspired by this genius, we decided to take it one step further and decipher just which theme songs belong to which breed of dogs. Warning: Adorable GIFs below.
Golden Retrievers
German Shepherd
One of the most loyal breeds of dogs, German shepherds will always *be there for you* just like the cast of "Friends." If your job's a joke, you're broke, or your love life's DOA, these dogs will be sure to stay by your side, even when the rain starts to pour. Plus, look at that face! There's no need for a "How you doin?'" when you can just show off an adorable dog like that.
French Bulldogs
The funniest and strangest creatures you'll ever see, Frenchies have you laughing one second and wondering what on earth they're doing another. The same can be said about the show "How I Met Your Mother." From its bopping theme song to match the bopping of a french bulldog's run, to the slightly immature behavior, these two were meant for each other, even if there wasn't a yellow umbrella to prove it.
Pug
All you have to do is switch out this pug getting its feet stuck in the toilet with Michael Scott getting his foot stuck in a George Forman grill to realize that "The Office" is truly the anthem for pugs everywhere. Just as unproductive and slightly awkward as a certain regional manager of Dunder Mifflin Paper Company, pugs will always find the humor in things, which is why they are dubbed this theme song.
Rottweiler
Rough (or should we say ruff) on the outside, but a lot more on the inside, Rottweilers and the ladies of Litchfield Prison from "Orange Is The New Black" are more than meets the eye. Tough to crack but loyal as they come, it's not just the orange-y brown and black fur that made Rottweilers the perfect dogs to belt (or bark) the OITNB anthem, "You've Got Time," but their personalities as well that made these two a perfect match.
Husky
An obvious choice seeing as these pups are actually featured in the show (under an other-worldly name of course), the wolf-like husky's theme song has got to be "Game of Thrones." Not only are they loyal and utterly majestic, but they aren't afraid of a little *snow.* Plus, with their Siberian background, they'll be ready when *Winter is coming*
Beagle
We're not quite sure why, but beagles, with their innocent faces and floppy ears, take us back to the simpler days of the early 00's, where all we had to worry about was which Fruit Roll-Up had the best tongue tattoos. With this reminiscing brought us one of the best theme songs of our youth, from the classic "Drake and Josh." This Nickelodeon fave had youthful humor and prankster antics, just like any young pup would have, and that's why we paired the soulful stylings of Drake Bell to that of the beagle breed.
Wiener
Watching something entirely entertaining yet you're not quite sure what you're looking at? Well, it could be an episode of "Bob's Burgers" or it could be a wiener dog. Both are a source of laughter, smiles and slight confusions, and both go amazingly well with a ukelele theme song.
Black Lab
The gentleman of the show "Suits" tend to get themselves in slippery situations, and for that they could have used a sleek companion by their sides. Black labradors are the ultimate dog for Manhattan's elite lawyers, with a simple walk in the park looking like a power move with a majestic creature right next to you. Then, just add in the calm, cool, and collected theme song of "Greenback Boogie" and you've got yourself a power duo.
Corgi

Pomeranian
I think we can all agree that Pomeranians are just about the bougiest, most LA dog breed one could find. That's why it was no question that their theme song would be the anthem of "The Hills," Natasha Bedingfield's "Unwritten." Not only does this song capture the essence of these pups and their high class adventures, but you can't help but to imagine LC driving with the top down from Laguna Beach to take on the big city from Les Deux to Teen Vogue. RIP "The Hills," 10 years later and still hitting home.
Great Dane
Sleek, efficient and puts on a good show, great danes are the puppy parallel to the team of "Criminal Minds." Not only are they fast and diligent, but great danes are always looking toward completing their task with their personal best, just like the special agents of the FBI. We think that Quantico could benefit from a few great danes by their sides.
Yorkie
Nothing quite brings us back to our youth than the joys of Nickelodeon after school. The excitement and youthful energy of all its shows had us glued to the television, and at the center of it all was one, "Zoey 101." The exciting lives of the preteens at Pacific Coast Academy kept us interested until the very end, clinging to if Zoey found out Chase's real feelings for her. This same excitement and energy can be found in Yorkshire Terriers as well. Not only do they look like young pups their whole lives, but they're perfect for reenacting dramatic preteen scenes like the one seen above. *Cue the dramatic early 00's theme*
Bull Dog
British in origin, the traditional bull dog does not like to do things they don't want to do, just like a certain British detective by the name of Sherlock Holmes. BBC brought the "Sherlock" series back to life and with it a sassy, slightly mischievous detective accompanied by a just as mischievous yet typically British uppity tune that you can picture these wrinkly lil' guys trotting around to.
Cat
Conniving and sneaky just like Frank Underwood, it's no wonder that the theme song for devious cats would be "House of Cards." After all, no dog would try to bring down multiple presidencies...knock, knock.
