Even for those of us who are gifted in the skill of paper-writing, it can be a daunting process, which is why we need the doctor to help us out.

When someone asks what your paper is about, you tell them that you’re still working out the details.

Mostly because you completely forgot about the paper until they mentioned it just now.

But you still have a while until it’s due so you procrastinate and try to convince yourself it won’t be that bad.

Until you actually look at the syllabus and realize that the word count requirement is ridiculously high.

So you force yourself to sit down and work.

But you're still not convinced that you can actually do it.

You begin to brainstorm topics and look for sources.

You start to regret your decision to procrastinate and decide that listening to music might help the creative juices flow a bit better.

But the whole process is much more painful that you thought it would be.

Because your grade in the class is dependent on how well you do and the pressure is too much.

So you get down to business...until your train of thought derails.

So you add in a bit of BS to help yourself along.

You get on a roll and it starts to become smooth sailing.

Then you actually make it to the halfway mark.

Your fingers are on fire because you’re typing so quickly...until your computer freezes and you think you’re about to lose all of your hard work.

You finish writing your main points only to realize that you’re nowhere near the word count requirement so you use as many filler words as possible.

When that starts to become tedious you check in the thesaurus for words that make you sound smarter.

Your family and friends try to give you a pep talk but they always ask how much you have left to do.

But then your brain starts to quit on you because you’ve been writing far too long now.

So you start to look for some more sources to make it seem like you’ve put in a lot of time, thought and effort into the paper.

All the sources you find make zero sense so they have to be good, right?

Except they don’t meet the requirement to be a “credible,” “academic” or “primary” source.

Which means that all you want to do now is take a break.

Except that you can't because you’re running out of time. So you just go for it and hope for the best.

Then you finish up the conclusion to find that you surpassed the word count requirement–even if it was by only 17 words.

So you praise yourself for a job well-done.

But now that it’s finished, you wonder if you should revise it.

You (unfortunately) decide that it is better to be safe than sorry so you look it over but find that it’s a horrible paper.

So you give it another go; this time with more determination because the end is in sight.

When it’s finally the best it will ever be, you’re just excited for some sleep and a shower.

As you print it out, you can’t help but dance because you know it’s at least a B-worthy paper.

You get to class, excited to turn it in because you actually survived your professor's attempted murder.

You turn it in at the end of class and are excited to have it be out of your life completely.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
